The big day is tomorrow! Les and I spent the day running around taking care of last minute items, getting packed, etc. And figuring out how we’re getting to the airport (somewhat critical). The big question, what to take and what to leave behind. The only rule is, one suitcase. (Okay, okay, and a computer bag and a backpack, but that’s for all the electronic gear. That doesn’t count.)
The suitcase is bigger (and heavier) than I was hoping to go with but I’m reluctant to leave anything behind. Hmm. Do I really need all those t-shirts, that extra pair of shoes? Hard to say. It is five weeks after all. Once we’re in the camper, it won’t matter. Maybe halfway through the trip I’ll send home a box of dirty laundry, but better put a warning label on it so I don’t get anyone’s hopes up that it’s presents.
I’ve been searching for wireless hotspots in Australia on the Internet and haven’t found a lot, at least west of Adelaide. So the updates may be few and far between for the first couple of weeks but should pick up as we get to the eastern side and civilization.
